I am pleased to announce a series of monthly masterclasses and clinics for my students. These classes are an extra bonus to what my students receive as part of their lessons and are a forum where they can get specific questions answered, learn from other students in the same situation, and talk music with others. The first, held in January 2010 was a huge success for everyone who attended.

Live Gear Demo at PMT in Leeds!
On Saturday 18th of April, Jonathan will be performing and demonstrating pieces of guitar equipment at PMT music store on Kirkstall Lane in Leeds with local bass tutor Pete Wright. They will be performing a set of covers and Jazz and Blues standards to provide entertainment to customers and to demonstrate some of the best new pieces of equipment. Student Spring Social Event - March 2009
March's student social event was held at the very friendly Grove pub in Leeds, venue to regular folk and blues gigs for many years. Over 40 people attended and the event was a huge success giving students a chance to meet each other, enjoy some live music and have a change to get up and play for themselves.
Live music came from brothers Paul and Johnny Stott and the incredible Matt Bater. This was
followed by a live Jam session in which several students got up and showed us what they could do to a warm reception from everyone.
This is a special video filmed at a masterclass in Frankfurt by Guitar Virtuoso and Master musician Tom Hess. This masterclass, featuring Jonathan Vipond on rhythm guitar, will give you some valuable insights to improve your lead guitar phrasing and will help to give you a true understanding of what you are playing.
